Steve FoleyBA/LLB
Head of College & Chief Executive Officer
Steve Foley is St Albert's Head of College and Chief Executive Officer. In 2026, he comes to the College after serving for more than fifteen years as Head of College and CEO at residential colleges at the University of Queensland and the Australian National University. Steve reports to the St Albert's Board and through the Bishop, works closely with the Diocese of Armidale, the UNE and College alumni. To achieve St Albert's commitment to deliver benchmark residential college experiences, Steve leads a staff who are passionate about young adult formation and ensuring that students' time at Albie's is both enriching and enabling for all who live here. Steve is a graduate of both the University of Queensland and QUT and has studied and worked abroad for much of his professional life. He has a deep and rich understanding of residential colleges having himself resided at a UQ college in the early stages of his BA. Steve's leadership is informed by Gospel values and a steadfast surety that choosing what is right over what is expedient delivers solid platforms on which to build great communities."

Brendon ThomasBLA, MCom, CPA
Executive Manager of Finance and Operations
Brendon is responsible for the inward facing financial and operational management of St. Albert’s College. This includes regulatory and legal compliance with financial, human resources and payroll requirements. He also has oversight of the practical day to day operations of the College such as the residential and dining facilities, grounds, and support staff. Brendon’s experience in the not-for-profit sector and tax compliance ensure the Principal receives sound advice and has a clear picture of the College’s financial position. His financial analysis, reporting and strategic thinking enable the College executive team to make informed decisions that ensure a seamless student experience.

Jonathan Grace
Executive Dean
Jonathan serves as the Executive Dean at St Albert’s College, overseeing its academic and administrative operations. With a strong focus on academic excellence, he works closely with faculty, staff, and students to maintain high educational standards and support student success. Jonathan plays a key role in shaping the College’s academic strategy, fostering faculty development, and ensuring that students have access to the resources they need to thrive in their studies. His leadership also involves developing new programs, forming strategic partnerships, and ensuring that the College’s academic offerings align with industry standards and student needs.
