Your Room

Each student has their own fully furnished private room, which includes:

  • A personal hand basin with hot and cold water
  • Desk, chair, bookshelves, desk lamp, and waste bin
  • Curtains, bedspread, doona, and pillow provided
  • Lockable wardrobe and cupboard for valuables
  • Fresh carpet throughout accommodation blocks

Facilities on each floor

  • 4 shared showers and 6 shared toilets (regularly cleaned)
  • Laundry room with washing machine, dryer, laundry tub, iron, and ironing board
  • Additional storage available in box rooms
Dining

Our modern Dining Hall is where great meals and friendships are made.

  • All meals provided - breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Late meal service available by request
  • Students can bring guests (meal tickets available)
  • The Dining Hall is also a hub for casual gatherings and formal events
  • Our kitchen cold rooms were upgraded in 2025 to enhance food quality and service.
Social Spaces

Community is everything at Albies. We’ve created spaces to help you relax, connect and thrive.

Junior Common Room (JCR)

  • Big screen TV, bar area, comfy couches
  • Perfect for movie nights, events, and chill time

Senior Common Room

  • A space used for special occasions and events
  • It contains a small bar and has access to a balcony that overlooks the college grounds
  • Named in honour of the Senior Common Room, a supportive group of professionals and academics who contribute to student life at Albies

Other Shared Areas

  • Communal garden areas and lawns
  • Dedicated BBQ area used during O-Week and throughout the year
  • Cozy new outdoor firepit area behind the BBQ space
  • A new lounge for small group hangouts and study sessions
Academic Support

We’re committed to helping you succeed.

  • Three dedicated tutorial rooms for quiet, focused learning
  • Additional study spaces in the JCR and Senior Common Room
  • Group study and peer tutoring opportunities
Safety & Wellbeing

Your safety and wellbeing are our top priorities.

  • Upgraded security cameras (2025) covering external areas, including carparks and administration
  • Onsite Residential Support Officers (RSOs) provide overnight first aid and pastoral care
  • Student leaders work alongside staff to maintain a safe, inclusive environment
  • College Chapel - a quiet space for reflection, prayer and community
