Steve Foley

Steve Foley is St Albert’s Head of College and Chief Executive Officer. In 2026, he comes to the College after serving for more than fifteen years as Head of College and CEO at residential colleges at the University of Queensland and the Australian National University. Steve reports to the St Albert’s Board and through the Bishop, works closely with the Diocese of Armidale, the UNE and College alumni. To achieve St Albert’s commitment to deliver benchmark residential college experiences, Steve leads a staff who are passionate about young adult formation and ensuring that students’ time at Albie’s is both enriching and enabling for all who live here. Steve is a graduate of both the University of Queensland and QUT and has studied and worked abroad for much of his professional life. He has a deep and rich understanding of residential colleges having himself resided at a UQ college in the early stages of his BA. Steve’s leadership is informed by Gospel values and a steadfast surety that choosing what is right over what is expedient delivers solid platforms on which to build great communities.”
